thelastmen,

was the update-templates file an install or some sort of script that fiddled around your db? I didn't download it so, I'm guessing if it was. Could you reach the admin CP though? If you can, why not try exporting your theme, then importing it again and make it default. It probably won't work as the damage seems to be in the DB, but we can try anyways.

Rate me if I have helped you
I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with MyBBThemes

Sorry, please use the version of the file here: http://community.mybboard.net/attachment.php?aid=1204

Please note, make sure your install directory currently exists and you're running this tool from your forum root.

RE: Discuss: MyBB 1.0 PR2 Update (Rev: 686)
After uploading all files and removing the lockfile I pointed my browser at the install/upgrade.. and first page was ok, altouch I think it is confusing witch version I have to chose from but got this error:
Code:
Converting attachments 1 to 50 (3 Total)

mySQL error: 1060
Duplicate column name 'uid'
Query: ALTER TABLE mybb_attachments ADD uid smallint(6) NOT NULL AFTER posthash;
Trying another version just gives me another error.
Anyway, I did the last update pr2 and it was ok. What am I doing wrong now?
Have meanwhile uploaded all previous files and put a copy back from the database. Runs ok now, but still, is there no better way of pointing out wat version you have during install/upgrade?

People. Read instructions! Not doing so will stuff up you forum. knol, that error is occuring because the field has already been made prevoiusy. You were not asked to upload everything and go to the upgrade script Toungue
http://community.mybboard.net/showthread.php?tid=3633
If you have a look at that thread, under the heading "Upgrading Your Forums", it says that if you already have PR2, just to upload all the new files into the right directories. There is a list of files to upload underneath the heading "Changed Files".

So, backup your forum to what you had, upload only the changed files (not inlcuding ones under install/ since you have already installed/upgraded!), and you have upgraded your forum. No need to install or upgrade. Just replace files.

Then, for extra fixes, go to Admin CP > Themes > Import, and import install/resources/mybb_theme.xml then delete the old theme.

As a result of this, you boards files, theme, and templates will be updated and patched, and all the bugs listed at that thread will be fixed. I advise everyone to do what I've just suggested!

If I help you, please give me a rep.
