Bug Posting Rules
Introduction
This forum is for reporting bugs with the MyBB 1.4 code. Bugs can be anything that prevents MyBB from working properly, or anything that produces an undesired result and can range from theme issues, to SQL errors. Security related bugs should be submitted through our contact form at http://www.mybboard.net/contact . Bugs about MyBB Merge should be posted on the MyBB Merge support forum. This forum is NOT for reporting bugs with modifications, plugins, themes, language packs or other customizations that were not written by the MyBB Group. You will have to contact the author of the customization if you would like to report such issues. Before you post In order for us to fix these bugs efficiently, we ask that you follow these guidelines: 1) Search the archived forums before you post Perhaps the bug has already been reported and fixed. Searching the archived bugs forums with keywords relating to your bug will reveal any past bug reports that may be related to your bug. 2) Try to reproduce it on the latest MyBB 1.4 release If you are using an outdated version of MyBB, the bug you found may already have been fixed in the latest version. If you have the resources to, it would be appreciated if you confirmed the bug in the latest version before posting it. Posting the bug report There are a few points of information that we would like to have in order to process the bug reports faster.
If you are concerned about your privacy, you can censor out private parts, so that you include as much information as possible, without sharing sensitive data. Alternatively if the censored information is found to be relevant, a developer may ask you to PM the entire contents. After you post Please follow up with your bug reports! It is highly recommended that you subscribe to your bug reports with instant email notification or bookmark the threads. Sometimes we may require more information, or have some code for you to test, and the sooner you get back to us, the better. MyBB Staff will mark the thread as one of the following when proper actions have been completed, and move your report to the proper archive forum: [F] - fixed bug [D] - duplicate bug report [B] - bogus bug report [C] - confirmed the bug fix works (SQA Team only) [R] - was able to reproduce the bug (SQA Team only) Thank you for helping make MyBB a better software. With your help, we will be able to further improve the software more efficiently and get the releases out quicker. |
